In his legal practice, he focuses on copyright law, particularly its day-to-day application in the fields of film, recording and exhibition production (for both producers and creators), collective copyright management and copyright-related litigation. As a qualified art historian, he previously headed the legal department of the National Gallery in Prague; at the law firm ŠTAIDL LEŠKA ADVOKÁTI s.r.o., he oversees matters relating to the visual arts, such as sales, loans and commissions for works of art, the restitution of works of art, representation in criminal proceedings and civil disputes relating to the theft, destruction or forgery of works of art, as well as in copyright disputes.
