Nicholas Ephram Ryan Daniels
Ephram Daniels is originally from Florida and holds a bachelor’s degree in art history and a master’s degree in teaching English to speakers of other languages. He has worked as a translator from Czech into English and as a copywriter for London theatres. As a translator, he has collaborated with a number of theatre and film festivals (Ji.hlava International Documentary Film Festival, One World, Karlovy Vary International Film Festival and 4+4 Days in Motion). He moved to the Czech Republic in 2015 and, given his Czech roots, has always wished to become a Czech citizen. Following the amendment to the Citizenship Act in 2019, which enabled the grandchildren of former Czechoslovak citizens to obtain Czech citizenship, Ephram essentially became his own lawyer – he thoroughly studied the legislation and the options for claiming citizenship through his grandmother. After successfully obtaining Czech citizenship in 2021, he began to specialise in the field of Czech citizenship and immigration law. He completed two legal retraining courses to qualify as a court interpreter for the Czech–English language combination and now helps people with Czech roots, like himself, to successfully obtain Czech citizenship. To date, he has assisted dozens of clients with this process. He also has experience in submitting applications for various types of visas and residence permits.
